Evening Boys, got the carb on and it's running. I have a hose that comes off the valve cover that has a smaller hose stuck in the end of it. I can feel air coming out. Should there be a PVC valve on the end of it? Should it be hooked up to something??

It doesn't need to be but it's suggested that a fuel filter on the end would keep dirt out and then route to the bottom of the vehicle. It should have been routed to the air filter box to be ingested by the engine and burned off.

Thanks richardv, I sure wished I had a repair manual on this thing so I could see what is suppose to go where.

You say there was a smaller hose going into the Valve cover Vent hose.
Now is that other small hose going into your tranny gear box at the back right above where the clutch is? If so that small hose is your tranny Vent hose zip that up some place out of the way. The Hose comeing from your valve cover just put a fuel filter on the end of it and ZIP TIE it HIGHER than the Valve cover. That is so if it squits out some oil it will drip back into the valve cover and not all over your underside and motor.
Just so you do not think your missing anything the MANUAL will not have this kind of information. Alleyoop

Mornin Boys, Thanks for sticking with me on all these questions. I need/want to get this back together like it's supposed to be for the Wife. My camera should be here today so I can show and ask better. On this trike, it's hard to see most of it so it's hard for me to try and figure out what goes where. The info y'all give me, gives me a place to try and look at. I'm starting to think I have to pull 6 panels off just to check the air in the tires.

Alleyoop, I'll check today if it can go to the tranny gear box. The lil hose that was stuck into the bigger one coming from the valve cover is trashed. It looks broke, cracked and dry rotted. richardv, The hose has a steady out flow, I don't think it can suck anything in, but a filter can't hurt anything as long as I put it in the right way.
cyborg, That's another place I will look at. I don't have an air filter on it. All it has it the piece of cloth over the thing-a-bob some one thought was an air filter. I cleaned that already. As for an air filter,,, That is on my list to see what y'all are using, what the name of it is and where to get it at. I try not to ask to many questions at once, I don't want to get banned. I need you guys more then you need me as a member.
