I had no script maybe a year ago and it was a pain. I don't remember what the last straw was other than I was pi$$ed big time. I use firefox on a newer machine that is running PClinux. I have no need for anti-virus and no script did make a few pages load quicker and that was the only reason I even tried it. My provider has since sped up the internet so right now I have no needs for no script. I dumped windows Nov of 2001 and have yet to have any regrets.

What's your thoughts on Ubuntu John? I've been getting a lot of XP machines and I install that rather than paying for the Microsoft upgrade. It seems to run about as fast as Windows.

Did you say .......gasp XP? You mean to tell me a XP computer will even light up? Reminds me of DOS, geeeeesh! Wait I forgot people in Alabama still use DOS! MY bad!  |

I don't care for ubuntu. There are a whole lot of linux users that swear by it. I have tried it a few times and I will admit every thing does work well, its just laid out different than I am used to. I prefer a KDE desktop over KNOME that ubuntu uses. The linux operating systems of today are far far superior to anything xp ever was and some may not even work on a 10 year old computer. There are some that are designed for older computers.
All I can say is down load and burn a few and try them.

As I recall noscript makes a lot of changes in your computer and when you delete noscript the changes remain.
I had a hard drive fail after I got rid of noscript so I just did a complete install on the new ss drive so I would have none of the changes left.

I would recommend you totally delete FF and any add on that are with it. The re-download the newest version and most of all make SURE javascript is enabled when you start again, not Java but javascript, in fact you may want to check that now?
The coding on this forum again is simple <html> <Head> and <body> coding and if you want to look at the coding just simply hit your F12 button and you'll see every script and plugin codes plus javascript coding. You can even see the javascript code provided by google that I added for the google search tool bar at the bottom of the forum:
