This is the text of an email I got today. TGB- One of the last great 2-Strokes in America:
The 2-Stroke has been a major icon to true scooterists across the nation for over a decade. As a dying breed however, due to harder and harder to meet EPA standards and restrictions, they've become nearly extinct. But to true die-hard scooter fanatics, the 2-Stroke is not something they're willing to say goodbye too just yet.
Wolf decided that carrying a 100% Taiwanese, top of the line, 2-Stroke, wasn't a just good decision- it was a MUST.
TGB product is like no other, and will sit as a showcase scooter on your floor calling out to those who are looking for economical, reliable transportation, and power! Or maybe just a good time on one of the last, truly COOL 2-Stroke scooters of it's generation!
MSRP $1999.00
2 Year Parts and Labor Warranty!

How are they getting around the emissions problem? How are you getting around your emission problem?

$2k for a 50cc 2T? They got the sitting around part right. TGB is a great scooter but not worth that price, no way.

The email was from a dealer that somehow got some in through the backdoor and is trying to sell them at a ridicules price.

Sym has a 50cc two-stroke...the Jet Evo, also listed with a MSRP of 1995. However it is restricted to 30 mph unless you purchase a "sport" exhaust. so figure another 200.
I've sold one and the customer is pretty happy.

Not a thought about the quality of the scooter but a 50cc 2T for $2k when one could buy just as good 150 scooter for that or less? Hell right now I could buy three 50cc Chinese scooters for that, wear one out, throw it away and grab another one. Besides unless you are driving in town only or have the I can't keep a license problem because I'm a boozer then IMO a 50cc scooter is useless?

For city folks it's perfect,,, and more than a few cities and towns let you park on the sidewalk so parking isn't a drag
