For the past few days I've been noticing a grinding at top speed coming from the Variator side. Today I pulled the clutch off for the first time and noticed the back pulley half on the clutch assembly was spinning freely.


Now I'm pretty sure the back pulley half is supposed to be welded to the pulley collar, but wanted someone with more experience to weigh in.

The two pulleys should move as one so if one pulley you can spin around by itself you need a new clutch assembly.
