Jerry do you have an oil drain plug on the cvt side on the bottom ? John Yes, I used it during the PDI, standard oil drain bolt on the lower left side of the engine under the CVT right behind the engine model stamp.

Thanks Alleyoop and everyone, looking forward to sharing the laughs here! Hey Jerry, you get a chance to put the scoot through it's paces? Are you in the "ride it like ya stole it" or "Break in slow" camp? I'm in the later..... I never hit WOT until about 250 miles (probably should've 500)..... I'm curious as to your top speed... And what's your weight/height?

And what's your weight/height? I'm in the up-and-down-rpms break in camp, doesn't let the rings set at any one RPM state. I haven't taken her out for a good long high speed ride yet, didn't get the plates today till close to sundown. Tomorrow will be the real test! I did take it on a quick 4 mile run on the freeway near my house. Two miles on a good uphill incline, then two miles back. Lot's of traffic (Vegas has rush hour 7 days a week), so I couldn't open her all the way up. Ran smooth uphill right around 60, downhill I got to 70, both times I was not at full throttle due to traffic. Cruising on city streets at 45-50 it's hitting 4-5k RPM, and on the freeway it never got above 6.5k, so I can probably tune the CVT to get up to 75mph without redlining. However, I'm not worried about top end, I think I'll go with sliders of the same weight as stock, or one step down. BTW- Can't get this stupid smile off my face! ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/3059616/images/j7oliHrgM6d9allIZs7k.gif)

BTW- Can't get this stupid smile off my face! ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/3059616/images/j7oliHrgM6d9allIZs7k.gif) These scooters tend to have that effect .... This past fall, my brother came out to visit and he ragged on me for like two days saying I should've bought a "real mans" bike (motorcycle) instead of my 150's.... But then one day I took him out riding and let him ride one of my Havocs.... Like you, he couldn't get rid of the smile..... These 150's are a blast to drive... They're quick, nimble and only cost chump change to maintain and operate. --------------------------- BTW, I got married in Vegas and been there about 5 times since... I've always stayed right on the strip and haven't explored any other parts of nevada, but I want to say good luck if you're driving down that crazy lane they call the strip... It's nuts!

Jerry two or 4 bolts on the valve cover ? John 4, but I forgot to measure the stud spacing when I did the PDI. According to Scrappy's Tech Talk section, this engine has the standard jug, not sure about valve height, will measure everything next time I open it up.

to bad there is no reference chart with engine numbers , to determine weather or not a case is an A or B . With more detailed parts lists .

Now that I have a beautiful metallic blue scooter, I need a matching helmet. I really like my safety yellow Bilt helmet, has decent ventilation, an inner sun visor, nice snug but comfy fit, and is modular so I can put on my glasses easy and take a drink at a stop. So I decided to try to paint it to match my scooter as close as I can. Here it is in the original safety yellow finish (my other scooter is yellow, but more of a sports car yellow): ![](http://s7d9.scene7.com/is/image/CycleGear/web1001084~200897?id=oNBRt2&fmt=jpg&fit=constrain,1&wid=350&hei=350) I started by roughing up the surface with 200 grit sandpaper, cleaned it up and let it dry. I then masked off all the parts I didn't want to paint, and all openings (solvents dissolve foam, must be careful). Next, I applied to good coats of grey sand-able scratch filling primer. Here's how she looks primed up: ![](http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/ff362/JerryScript/Scooter/helmet-primed_zpshfxpj3jw.jpg) I let it dry overnight, even though it said it was good after 2 hours, I wanted to be sure the primer was cured (waited till no more smell). Then I wet sanded it with 400 grit sandpaper. I sanded through a tiny bit on a couple of the ridges, very hard to sand all the weird shapes on a helmet. I then cleaned it up and let it dry. Next, I applied four coats of the base metallic blue I found that was a shade lighter than my scooter, letting it dry for a half hour between each coat. Here she is with the base coat applied: ![](http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/ff362/JerryScript/Scooter/20150122_152958_resized_zpstpnlcu5u.jpg) ![](http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/ff362/JerryScript/Scooter/20150122_152938_resized_zpsgolvwzoq.jpg) I let the base coat dry for about a half hour, then used a fogging technique to apply a black metallic over the base metallic blue in an attempt to match the dimensional look of my scooter's paint job. By fogging I mean I acted like a hairstylist putting hairspray on someone, holding the can back twice as far as normal and moving it rapidly all over the place, allowing the paint to fog/mist onto it. After comparing to the scooter, I fogged it two more times with the black metallic, then once with the blue metallic. Here it is after the fogging: ![](http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/ff362/JerryScript/Scooter/20150122_162201_resized_zpscyitclgs.jpg) ![](http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/ff362/JerryScript/Scooter/20150122_162141_resized_zpsnhumctac.jpg) I let it dry overnight again, with colder temps it's always good to wait overnight between painting steps like these. Today I applied 6 very light coats of lacquer clear coat, allowing each to dry for half an hour. It was cooler than I hoped for when doing this, and I ended up with a lot of fisheye I'll have to wet-sand and polish out tomorrow. Here it is on the scooter after clear coating: ![](http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/ff362/JerryScript/Scooter/scooter-helmet_zpssntf1qwz.jpg) Even though it is a shade lighter than the scooter, I think I did a pretty good job approximating the dimensional effect the scooter's paint job has on my helmet. I'll post a pic of it all polished up tomorrow, gotta let the clear coat set all the way before wet-sanding, regardless of what the directions say safe handling time is (handling is not the same as sanding).

Thanks! I used Dupli-Color primer and paint, and some generic clear lacquer I had left over from a cabinet repair. I went really cheap on the polishing compound, Turtle Wax light to medium polishing compound for $6!
