I'm a bit late on this thread, but my nephew had a similar issue. Turns out his variator drive face (the one with teeth, belt sits between it and the variator) was missing the internal teeth. This allowed it to turn freely, only pressure against the belt turned the crank, and it squeaked loudly during starting. It also caused repeated failure of the starter Bendix. Replaced it two weeks ago, no more squeaking.

Riding with a passenger puts you near the GVWR (gross vehicular weight restriction). This makes the clutch slip more during takeoff, leading to glazing on the pads. Riding two up means more frequent CVT maintenance and replacement.

Yes, charge at rest can look fine, while under load it is shot. Most auto parts shops check under load, I would go to a different store for testing.

LEDs often require a resistor wired into the circuit in order to trigger the flasher unit, they do also make flashers designed for LED lights specifically.

You can upload videos from your phone straight to YouTube. On android, it's usually done by tapping the share button while watching the video, then selecting YouTube.
When you copy & paste the YouTube URL here, remove the s from https.

If it's jetted lean at the factory, it's probably not lean at high altitudes.

Keep in mind, this is exactly why you have a kill switch, if the throttle gets stuck open while riding, hit the kill switch!

1) most complaints are from those who a-expect a rolls royce for the price of a scooter, and b-don't maintain their scooters
Once you have yours, clean the carb, set the valves, and check all hoses and wiring/connections. Toss in some seafoam gas treatment, and change engine oil and tranny oil.
2) Most chinese scooters are gy6, but not all. Look on the lower left cranckcase for the gy6 engine stamp, standard ones are 139qmb fir 50cc and 157qmj for 150cc, additional letters sometimes indicate versions that are more difficult to get parts for, but that is rarer these days.
3) There are tons of good parts dealers, our banners at the top of the page are dealers who also participate here from time to time, good people.
2strokes are a bit quicker off the line, but adjusting your cvt on a 4stroke will give the same results. Performance parts are cheap, and installation is easy, these are not hard engines to work on, body panels come off easily giving you full access.
Welcome, and good luck with your scooter!

Looks like a cam stopper, which is supposed to prevent the motor from spinning backwards in the event of kickback during starting. It is not a "required" component, more of an engine saftey feature.

The last one I pulled out, I took one of the body panel screws, tapped it gently with a hammer till it just punctured the brass, then turned the screw with a screw driver and it popped right out, 10 seconds and done! Alleyoop, I think you left the s in https when you posted that video, which prevents it from playing while embedded.

The air/fuel mix screw is probably capped with a brass plug. It is located on the top right of the picture, so when standing on the left side it is on the lower side near the front. You can drill a small hole in it, then use a screw to remove it.

The canister is part of the EPA emissions crap, you can toss it. I don't see a EVAP port on your valve cover, so it's probably the fuel tank vapor catch, but those usually have charcoal to absorb fumes.
The breather hose from the valve cover can be zip tied up high on the frame, allowing any blown out oil to drain back in, with a fuel filter on the end of the hose to prevent oil misting out the opening.

Did you set your valve lash?
Did you try unscrewing your air/fuel mixture 1-2 more turns out?
A bbk uses more air and fuel, so you need to adjust the carb accordingly.

what is the problem with a high air flow air filter I bought one and now my keeway is bogging down is there a way to fix it It allows more air in, so you need more fuel coming in to make the right mixture. Try adjusting the air/fuel screw by turning it out 1/4 turn at a time. If you still have issues after 3 full turns out, you need to upjet.
