That is not hesitating that is called hard starting. And hard starting can be caused by a weak battery not able to turn the motor over fast enough, carb not adjusted right, fouled plug etc.. Alleyoop Ok. It's the battery. I am using an old battery not meant for this power.. thats why I had the spark problem.. I have to charge the battery every other day for it to work good. Is there a problem starting it like that for a couple days till I get a new battery?

No not a problem but are you sure the problem is the battery? It may be the Regulator/Rectifier on your scoot is NOT charging the battery when your riding it. Do you have a VOLT METER? You can pick one up at Harbor Freight for around 6.00 bucks. Then start your motor and test the battery using the volt meter, at idle is should read 12.5-12.7, then rev it up on the center stand and it should read 13+ volts. If it doesn't then the R/R is not charging. Alleyoop

As these do not have innertubes...

Take it to a gas station they usually have air available, or if you have a air compressor.

Apparently it did from just that statement, I have seen guys do that back in the old days.. Got a new battery! $25.. works so good! Love it! Also.. Friday at around 11pm, with the old battery.. it wouldnt start at the gas station after I got gas. Walked it home, charged it and all good, just got new battery today and runs so good. Starts first try.

Turns out the scooter didnt move at all after I got it started. Does this indicate the belt ripped? If so, let me know. I left it at a friend's house and got a ride home. I'll pick it up later with a van and start workin.
