Could be a number of things wrong with the drive,,,, the belt being one of them,,, clutch could have gone away too,,, no way to tell till you get the cover off and get a peek inside,,, but the belt is the most likely suspect I would think

How it happened.. I was driving full speed (40-45 mph) and it started getting slower and slower.. or maybe it just stopped going but was still rolling from the speed. I will check the belt tomorrow though.

The only way you'll know what happened to the drive is to pull the cover and get a look at what's going on inside

there are several things that can cause that, belt broke, oil in the cvt will cause the belt to just slip, bad clutch not grabbing the bell to turn the wheel, gears stripped in the tranny but you would normally hear some kind of grinding going on.

When you took the cover off was there any oil in the cover? Do this turn the Variator by hand COUNTER CLOCKWISE and see if it will turn the rear wheel as you turn it or it is very hard to turn and you can hardly turn it. Alleyoop
ALSO one more question when you said you where driving at speed and it started to slow down WAS THE MOTOR slowing down OR JUST the speed and the motor was still up with the RPMS?

It slowed down along with the motor.. it got lower and lower and shut off. I turned it clockwise and it was easy to turn. I haven't turned it counter clockwise yet though. And yes there was a good amount of oil in the cap when I took it off.

I need you to Grab the VARIATOR FAN PULLY and turn it COUNTERCLOCKWISE NEVER TURN IT CLOCKWISE(do not want to explain why YOU SHOULD NOT TURN IT CLOCKWISE which you already did at this time).
When you turn it COUNTER CLOCKWISE at one point it should be a little harder to turn THAT WOULD BE on the compression stroke and once past that little harder it should turn easier then again harder when it is again on the compression stroke. When DOING THIS is the belt moving along as well as the REAR CLUCTH PULLEY TURNING at the same time.
WHAT I MEANT ABOUT THE OIL IS NOT IN THE MOTOR BUT INSIDE THE CVT COVER YOU TOOK OFF TO CHECK THE BELT. ANY OIL THERE?
Also just for CHUCKLES like CY asked check the OIL LEVEL which is on the other side by the muffler.

When your turning the VARIATOR COUNTER CLOCKWISE is the belt moving with the turning.
So are you saying TURNING IT COUNTER CLOCKWISE it gets hard then EASYIER TO TURN? If so the HARDER PART is on the COMPRESSION STROKE and ONCE you turn it past that point it get easyer to turn.
Now where WAS the the oil in the CVT COVER when you took it off BY THE VARIATOR or at the BACK by the CLUTCH PULLEY.
So if you have oil in the CVT cover that means the belt is slipping you probably blew out the OIL SEAL behind the VARIATOR. So check if oil is behind the Variator which would mean when you took the CVT cover off the oil was probably from the front by the variator all the way to the back of the variator cover.
DO YOU KNOW HOW TO CHECK THE OIL LEVEL IN THE MOTOR? If Oil Seal blew out it will be very low . Have you every changed and checked the oil level? DO NOT KNOW HOW MECHANICALLLY INCLINED YOU ARE so have to ask.

The belt is moving, lemme check the other stuff you said.
