Hey guys, it's the queen of missing in action. I still haven't got to replacing the valve stems or making sure that fuel is flowing right because I've been working my butt off but..... today I had a crazy rough day at work (closet organization job where the shelves were falling out of the walls and I had to rehang them all before I could organize due to some dip screwing them into the drywall with no anchors.) Thank God for stud finders so I could rehang them the right way So... I got home, went out on the back patio with the dogs and smelled gas. Weird since I don't have gas heat or gas stove or anything like that. I went around to the side of the house and saw that the wind had knocked my scooter over on its left side. I had it on the better kick stand of the two but I guess it was no match parked on grass with the wind. As I was about to lift it back up I could see there was gas laying on the inside of the left side wall. I quickly looked at the gas hoses and where they are attached to and I didn't see anything that came apart. I lifted it back up and looked at the gas cap and didn't see any gas coming out of there or streaks from it. I tilted it towards the wall pretty far so it shouldn't get knocked over again. I was in my socks and stepping in the gas on the ground. Ick. There was still a lot in the tank by the sounds of it. This scooter has me smelling like gas even when I'm NOT working on it! Tomorrow better go awesome after today and also because it will be my 36th birthday! YAY! This was my first time ever knocking over a scooter and I hope its the last. Luckily I didn't see anything broken but I wanted to know if it being on its side could mess something up and if so what? Thanks guys!

straightbangin Hi,the gas you see and the gas you smell is probable from the fuel tank over flow/vent once you picket it up right that should stop and as long as it didn't fill the cylinder. with raw fuel your probable o.k. easy way to check is take out the spark plug and turn the motor over with the kick starter any fuel that may be in the clyinder. will be pushed out by the piston.other than that your probable ok I wouldn't smoke around it for awhile .hope this helps good luck

Scoot is right. However, if you have an EVAP system the vent line runs to a canister. If that filled with gas your vent may no longer work and the bike will stall after a few moments when a vacuum builds. Running it will tell the tale.

Also check your battery for acid spill, which may have come out and gotten on some wires. Alleyoop
