Today i was in a hurry to hit the beer store and totally forgot to look in the gas tank to see if i had gas or not. We all know how great the gauge works on scoots. 3 miles down the road it started to act like i was running out gas. My question is... On the gravity fed fuel systems if there to low will they run poorly? Luckily i made it back home and didnt have to push and yes i was very low on gas.

It is entirely possible. check and see that there are no low spots in the gas line and every part of it is higher than the carb. If there is very little height over carb at the petcock that is going to mean very little pressure when low on gas to force the float valve open and you may have been starved some. When you have insufficient flow, you run out of gas wide open yet it will recover when you let up.

I agree if you have a full tank everything is good ,,, hi spots and lower pressures only reveal themselves when getting low on fuel
