Most likely it is your R/R but you can test to see if the stator is putting out to the R/R. The R/R if it is getting some good VAC from the stator will convert that to DC and put that out to the Battery to charge it. So the stator should first be checked for output, if good output then you know it is your R/R that is bad. Alleyoop

Thanks for the help! :(That is what I was thinking "rectifier" right? I am waiting on my Multi-meter (zzz)to find its way home. When i get it I will check my VAC at the stators plug Do you happen to know the proper Vac for a 157?
But....doesn't the main headlight burn AC?... its the stator if so right?

At idle they should put out around 20-30Vac and then revving it up should climb 50+Vac. Alleyoop

There's a section in the Library called manuals. There's a board called Scooter Doc manual. It has extensive testing procedures for stators and rectifiers. You said all of your lighting was DC which is a valid system on newer bikes. They're usually a three phase system. If it is three phase you will have three yellows coming out of your stator. Every light would be DC....no AC. The more common system is a split AC DC in which the stator will have a yellow green and white coming out of it. In that case the headlight would be AC but the tail light and turn signals will be DC. Tell us what is coming out of the stator. Pictures would help.

I am lead to believe it is split because only the headlight is not working everything else is except the charging of the battery.

Sounds like the headlights work off the Stator and R/R, so first check the Stator if good then just replace the R/R.
