I walked into a local dollar store wearing my full face helmet with the face shield open. An employee walked up to me and rudely told me to remove the helmet and put my backpack behind the register. I was insulted by her tone. And if I were a criminal, I would not steal items worth just a dollar. Also, my backpack was the same size as a woman's purse and women do not have to put their purses behind the register. (Rant complete)

Yeah, they do that here in Bama too. I talked to a supervisor and he said they had a few robberies from guys with helmets on. I guess a few ruin it for everybody else. Rich

Make an incredibly long, slow painful show of getting your helmet off. Then sit there are drool for a bit. Finally, after maybe 30 minutes, start asking if your assistant is there yet. As an option, you could always pee on the floor.

People have the right to run their business as they see fit. If you don't like it, go down the street, and spend your money elsewhere. Or, spend a few hundred thousand dollars, and start your business, then you can set the rules. Or, just take your helmet off, when you park your bike....like most of us do.
Life is full of rules....we don't always get to do as we please.

Holy crap, rks. Lighten up. In case you haven't noticed, there is a smile after my rant. The only way you could had made your post more insulting would had been to tell me to F off at the end.

I have never tried going in to a business with a helmet. One of the banks around here has a sign that says take off your hats too.
On the other hand I never take it off getting gas because I pay at pump.
If you want to make trouble dress up like a catholic nun or a muslim woman, no one checks them. I am waiting for one to go into the dmv for a drivers license and wear a burka!

I take mine off when entering any establishment, even if it's just to pay for gas, or a burger.. don't want to make em nervous...
