I'm planning on stripping the paint off of the exhaust/muffler for my scoot and re-painting. I used it this past winter and it is starting to show some rust spots. I want to know that the best temperature/humidity is for painting and how to best avoid flash rust when I've got all the paint off of the muffler.
Also, any other advise on how to get the best results with the stripping (I'm going to be using sandpaper), priming, painting, and curing would be appreciated.
I'm going to be using VHT flame proof primer and rustoleum high heat paint; both are supposed to be able to take temperatures up to 2000°F.
I'm quite sure the exhaust/muffler piece won't fit in my oven, so I'll have to cure the paint on the scooter.

Sand,, wire brush,, rust reverter base ( it turns rust into primer),,,light coat of heat paint,,, unless you can get a hi heat primer then a nice wet coat of the heat paint and call it a wrap,,,
