This is a simple thing that I forgot how to do. I have a full tank and the gas has sat here since last October. It wouldn't start before its long set out in the weather, so I just bought another carb and put it on. The only thing I remember is sucking the vacuum tube will release gas. No fuel comes when I have the fuel line disconnected and try to crank it, but the fuel filter itself doesn't seem to be clogged.I can blow freely through it in both directions. So I'm going with first things first and replacing the gas. Has good compression and spark.
I would really appreciate the easy way to drain gas to get me started please. Thanks.

First question is where is the tank in back higher than the CARB or in the floorboard in front lower than the carb. But If the fuel filter is not clogged then it must be the PETCOCK if tank is higher than the carb or FUEL PUMP if tank is lower than the carb that is not working. You can siphon the gas out using a piece of hose or if the tank is higher than the carb take the petcock off which would could be clogged.
