It is a two prong connector with a green wire and a black wire with a white stripe. Any ideas?

That looks like the kill switch, Does your killswitch work or not. If not then see if that plugs into the killswitch. The black/white is the killwire that goes to the CDI top wire on the two plug. The green is the ground. So how it works is the Switch connects the ground to the BLACK/WHITE and grounds the CDI and kills the motor. Alleyoop

looks like a sidestand plug if your scooter has a kickstand and switch.

My kill switch works fine. I also have an open terminal behind my headlight cover but I'm pretty sure that's for an alarm. Kickstand kill switch sounds right since it's in the right area.
