Hey scooter gods. So I can't help but feel like this is a stupid question. But I submit, I'm still learning and seek your collective guidance. What is this Mount for. I also own a scoot with a 1 shock setup with a short case. I'm wondering is this Mount can be used as a direct bolt so I can use a long case engine in my short case scoot. I thank you in advance my scooter peeps. i58.tinypic.com/1124u3k.jpg[/IMG

it looks like a different shock mount for a different body style. Some 50cc use only one rear shock some use two, your pic is concentrated to that spot and can not tell if yours is one or two shocks. When I say two shocks I mean one on each side of the rear wheel.

tvnacman is correct, It is the shock mounting point, for one of the two, on the rear of my 157QMJ long case scooter.
