it is amazing how much power they have,,,,even stock,,,,, Cyborg have you riden with the corbin seat? At just under $340 and only 9" wide I am wondering is it worth it? I am kind of a cheap skate but that 2x4 seat on there now is going to keep the miles low on the bike and I would to ride a lot. John

Tripped the trigger on a corbin. Forgot to take meds this am so I was hurting a bit more than normal so.....I did it. They have a kind of weird way of selling. You put in your info along with credit card but the form doesn't have any dollars in it and they say they confirm with in 2 days. Sure hope it doesn't take till some one gets back off summer vacation! And apparently made to order. In comments I said "as wide as possible as I have a bad hip and back"
Tomorrow going to loosen up the handle bars and see if I can put the on risers off the majesty. The clutch cable looks like it may be a bit tight along with some others. The risers I have can be set to up or back or in between. Roxy I think is the name of them. A 45 degree setup would probably be just about right.

I can't tell you how happy i am about the bike choice you made,,,believe it or not with 17" sportbike wheels on that thing and a little hopup (a dynojet kit with new needle for the carb and a DG silencer )nothing can touch them in the canyons around here,,,all the real good riders that rip the canyons have supermoto's,,,i left mine as a dualsport with the 21" front wheel,,,and i like it like that,i went mikuni flatslide pumper carb full pipe and gearing changes,,,the steering is a little slow but i don't care i still can hustle that thing around plenty fast enough,,,nice clean fast fun that doesn't tear your arm off when you need parts or tires,,,2 new tires with tubes $112 delivered,,,,,not too shabby

I can't wait either. I called Sargent and asked how wide and they said 11" but not sure it could be that wide. I then ordered off ebay for free shipping and better price. will probably take a lot longer but around $50 less money than at the factory! and paypal instead of card.

Wow, its like another bike.
First the seat came, so I installed it. 10 3/4" wide verses OEM at 6" on the top an flat portion. Your arse bones land right on the corners of the flat on the OEM seat.
Then while waiting for the ups man I pulled the 2 throttle cables and rerouted. Pull clutch cable and install the rox risers in the straight up position. UPS man finally showed at 5:00 and I installed the +3 cable and new lever.
I only got a short test ride due to constant down pours. I can now stand up with out bending with the new risers. Seat feels way different, flat like a chair with no stress like before. Will need to take a long ride tomorrow to see how I feel. The seat is top quality for fit and finish, looks like it should have been there from kawasaki new. I did not have any problems with the after market rack behind and along side of it like I had anticipated.
At the manufacturing level the new seat would not have cost but a few bucks more than the crap supplied by kaw. if that. I just feel lucky I chose a bike that so many accessories are available.
(So much for a craigs list "rare" and collector model) The next project will be the suspension and see if I can soften it up a little more than it is. I am old and I need comfort! I never liked dunlop tires but the 606 knobbies on this bike are great. I have 2 miles of dirt/gravel bad road to get to black top on the way to town and I may buy another set of the 606 tires when these wear out, their about 50% right now. john

I love it when a plan comes together,,,, those seats are worth every penny,,,gotta get one on my dr350,,,,, as far as the front end goes it's probably 10 w,,,don't go too soft or you'll loose road feel,,,,get a quart of 5w and a quart of 10w and mix them together you'll come up with 7.5 w ,,unless you can find a couple quarts of 7.5,,,that will cure the harsh forks,,,check the damping first,,,a couple clicks back may help too,,,but do change the junk oil they put in there stock,,,,yeah I'm done with the exotic / rare/ collectors whatever,,,I'm sick of the search and wait for parts,,,the dr has been out of production over 15 years and there's still a boatload of parts for the thing,,,,they just made so many (750,000) they are still everywhere,,,I'm a firm believer in dualsport bikes,,,the only problem I have is I'm pissed at myself for waiting so long to find out how great they are

Seat seams to be breaking in as my butt is loving it. That long suspension sure is right for the street. Bungee cord to take a short fishing pole to the river last night and caught a trout. Been a while since fishing, the trout around here taste like crap but where I went was a catch & release only.
About 1000% better than the majesty. The only place the majesty felt right was on a stretch of brand new blacktop and the only way it could have been worse would have been no shocks at all. Got to get the extra padding off the seat on it and get it on craigs list. Going to sell it as junk, running but junk.
