Once the boat anchor sells then get a Stella ,,, you will not be sorry,,, I'm thrilled with mine,,, anyways you always have the klx to ride when you want the real ride!!!! lol,,, Sunday I rode the Stella in the morning to get stuff at the store,,, then the wife went to a family function early afternoon,,, I wasn't invited as usual,,, we call that the GREEN LITE where I come from,, so I took a blast on the dr,,, what a difference!!! Don't get me wrong I love my Stella but when it comes to really riding,,, nothing can touch a well running full size

Seat is getting broke in. I love it, keeps getting better. I do have a 83 riva with a new battery to ride and the suspension is actually better than that majesty, takes the bumps better but it still beats me up on a long ride. In the next few weeks I am going to get each a led headlight.

I've had my dr for two years next month and I'm still kicking myself over not getting into dual sports earlier in my riding career,,,I gotta get me a Sargent seat,,I'll buy a clean used seat pan on eBay and send it over to them,,,mine could use a decent seat,,,it's not quite as bad as the original on the dr650 or klx like yours but it's close,, hour- hour and a half and I'm ready for a break,,,

Kinda ok, had not ridden for about a week but did today. aches pains suck. Yea maybe tomorrow will get a camera or tablet out so you can see. It is a tad lower than OEM and I been getting on like you get on a horse! And what a ride....you can hardly even feel bad road like washboards and the like.
Am really pissed at myself for putting up with that G D majesty for so long, between the awful ride and the high maintenance and lack of readily available parts. I would have been way better off with a chinese 250 scooter. Could have bought 2 of them new for what I paid for the used yamaha and got parts a lot easier too.

Too funny!!! Don't feel bad that's exactly how I get on my dr,,stand on left peg swing leg over,,,,getting off reverse ,,,stand on both pegs swing leg over ,,touch dirt,,,easy Peasy baby,,,yeah and I'm pissed at myself too for wasting all the time and money on all the hi zoot bikes I was into,,,,,when the most fun was lookin me in the face and didn't know it
