Hi Guys, Been noticing a slight wobble feeling from the rear end. Just jacked it up and removed the tires. Took the castle nut off and got it down to the axle. right side fine, left side moves in and out about 1/8 inch. I'm guessing that is not good. Advice on the next step please. Billtrek

Take the Dust Cover out and right inside you will see a LARGE "C" clip that fits in a slot around the inside of the tube. Now Behind that is your Wheel bearing. Take the "C" Clip out and add the big washer then put the "C" Clip back in, that is the only thing is is stopping the axles from completely coming out. Unless you have one of the axles that was modified like mine, They welded a piece of pipe onto the axle on both sides about 6 inchs in then added a FLOATING thick washer to hit the weled pipe. To hold it in place they threaded the thick washer and added a BOLT on the outside of the axle tubing and it screws into the floating washer and that does not allow the axle to possibly come out fully. In the picture you can see the BOLT that is holding thge floating axle stopper. From the wheel bearing to the "C" clip is your movement of in and out. So you need to take the Slack space between the BEARING and the "C" clip. Here is what I did and it works great I went to the Hardware store and got some big washers that fit perfectly inside the tube. I Dremeled the inside of the Washer to NOT HIT the center part of the Bearing which is what turns with the axle and added the Washer between the Bearing and the "C" Clip. The Washer is the same size as the BEARING. Alleyoop

Thanks for all the info. Any idea what size washers you used? It will give me a starting point. And what type of metal should it be? I'm thinking 2 or 3 thin washers to fill the space or one fat one.

I cannot remember what the diameter is but to get the size you just need to measure the inside of the axle tube where the DUST COVER goes. Alleyoop

Just like in the picture I put up That is MY axle and I am taking the dust cover out. Slip a thin screwdriverbetween the axle and the rubber dust cover and just pull on it a little it is rubber so it will not break apart

Thank you Alleyoop. Got it out. Widened the center of the washer out. Now thinning the washer. It's a bit too thick.

They do have thinner big arse washers I know cause I got a mixture of them. Also some are made just a little thinner than others and thicker than others They are not that precisely made

After I got it ready to fit over the axle and miss the inside of the bearing I found it was much too thick. looks more like it needs a shim than washer. I need to find a much thinner washer.

Take that washer to the hardware store and you will find thinner ones I know cause I got different thickness washers for mine as well. Alleyoop
