Identifying gy6 brand By triplerotor (Read 944 times)

Hi im newbie from malaysia, basicly theres no gy6 engine sold here so i have to source it from china, 
The seller gave me this picture. Can u confirm me this is one of variant of gy6 50cc short case? What is the brand as i need to find the spec sheet?Is the part is exchangeble with other gy6? Here the link. 
im going to mount it to a kart to run it on shell eco marathon, im going to convert it to efi too. From the pic what other parts do i need for it to work.

Question: What is the brand as i need to find the spec sheet?

That information you have to get from the seller and also the motor type 139qmb or 1p39qmb etc..
From the pic it just a short case 50cc motor with a kickstarter.

Btw i recently foundout there a 80cc scooter locally sold here with 147qme 80cc engine.
It turn out not much performance part specially made for the engine.
Anyone have an experience with that engine and any interchangeable part with gy6 engine?

It is just another Honda clone GY6 engine, in American terms. Lots of information is availible and I recommend a bit of research before buying parts. Brand name is NOT importaint IMHO.


Regular oil changes and some preventative maintenance should be all you need. Battery, brakes, fuel.... and so on.

Good Luck and PLEASE, ask a LOT of questions. Check the bottom of you engine case to find out eactly what you have then, go from there......

i think i should change the term brand to type. lol
i did check the engine code on the bottom of the block and that is how i found its 147qme. 

then i tried to google 147qme or gy80 parts but to no avail.
im pretty sure the piston is different from the 50cc gy6.
but how about other parts? do the share the same parts as gy6?

my main aim is to improve the fuel efficiency as im going compete in the shell eco marathon competition.
ive been planning to using ECOTRON efi kit. and change some parts to improve its sparks(plugs,plug cable,etc2), some bearings, etc2 but not bigbore or hi profile camshaft as the main aim to improve fuel economy. do you guys have any ideas or parts to recommend?
