I am glad it worked for you, Unfortunatly the OP still has an issue....... I indeed hope a simple fuse is the answer.
Good Luck!!!!!

BTW, Your belt and CVT innards should have no effect on a hard starting issue unless things were installed VERY wrong.......
Please try a new Battery first.
If all else fails you can make a stock Coil/Boot Hotter by replacing the resistor ( that is a different story though )
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

In My Opinion,
The Orange and Blue CDI will indeed make starting harder than just using/replacing the stock one......
A simple test without a multimeter-----
Try a fresh battery!!!!!!!!
How well is your plug boot fitted on the spark plug?
You started this thread by saying a " SHOP " did some work.....
Is it possible they made a mistake ? Or possibly need to have them fix this issue?

I ran into something interesting...... Schlotchies ( a sandwich shop ) has an automated order Kiosk in airports..... Funny thing is, A "tip" cup on top of the machine.... Granted a human in the back still has to make your sandwich. Instead of ordering from a Kiosk (many folks won't know how to use) it seems ordering from an actual employee is always better. Who are you gonna yell at when the order is wrong? YOU ordered it wrong

You can easily buy a New china scoot...... Some of the newer Motorcycle style 150/250cc are Very cool.
2016 as a matter of fact... Tis the season
The ONLY bad name a china scoot has is from people that do NOT understand you may need to tighten a few bolts. No increased cost of ownership from a dealer/warranty doing what an average Bicycle owner does for reliability anyway.......
My apology!!! Just my 2 cents

No need for a double post---- An Admin should know better.... JMHO.
In fact, it maybe a 2 stroke carb with an oil induction..... Or I maybe Very wrong.......
Just my humble thought as I maybe way off.......... Those ebay/china carbs are made to fit a variety of engines....
Maybe it's possible this is simply the wrong carb for this engine.
Good Luck!!!!!

A general lack of preventative maintenance is the major cause of breakdowns for all vehicles......
A china 50cc scooter can easily go 10 to 15 thousand miles with simple regular maintenance and a bit of knowledge of what to look for before a problem arises.
As for being towed, Accidents are the major issue to avoid...... JMHO.
GOOD LUCK!!!!!

It is just another Honda clone GY6 engine, in American terms. Lots of information is availible and I recommend a bit of research before buying parts. Brand name is NOT importaint IMHO. Regular oil changes and some preventative maintenance should be all you need. Battery, brakes, fuel.... and so on. Good Luck and PLEASE, ask a LOT of questions. Check the bottom of you engine case to find out eactly what you have then, go from there...... What do you want the scooter to do? ?

Looks like a VERY decent ride, taken care of VERY well, If I had the cash on hand this is a No brainier.....
A local sale maybe a better option though, As I am new here, maybe a list of custom parts and work history could help others interested in the sale.
Heck, A Craig's list add should have a few folks calling on the first day. IMHO.
GOOD LUCK !!!!!! Ride like you own it!!!!!
