A member of itistheride posted this picture of a carb with "an extra nipple". Very few carbs I have seen online have this nipple in this location. He says it's not the fuel line or a vacuum line, and not the vent or drain line. The only thing I have found online other than fuel, vacuum, vent, and drain lines on carbs is an "oil inlet" line. Is that what this is? s16.postimg.org/6yhf4hh4h/2015_08_29_20_36_32_HDR.jpg

Could be a fuel line pre heat. Run the gas thru it to heat it up before actually sending it into the carb.

No need for a double post---- An Admin should know better.... JMHO.
In fact, it maybe a 2 stroke carb with an oil induction..... Or I maybe Very wrong.......
Just my humble thought as I maybe way off.......... Those ebay/china carbs are made to fit a variety of engines....
Maybe it's possible this is simply the wrong carb for this engine.
Good Luck!!!!!

It is not a 2 stroke carb and it is not an oil injector it is a breather if anything at all. Oil injectors inject right into the Venturi so it mixes with the gas being sucked in. As you can see the connector goes to the CARB BOWL not into the Carbs Venturi. 99% of those carbs those molded inlets and outlets are dummies and are sealed, they may have been used for other types of bikes and or a design that never got used but they left the molds the same and never drilled them out. Same as with a lot of the 250 30-32mm carbs they still come with the heating attached to the carb with 1 screw which was used in their minds to warm up the area by the Enricher using the hot radiator fluid. But they sort of forgot that to get the radiator liquid hot enough by that time the motor was already hot and the Enricher already shut off(HAHA). So as you can see some of this stuff is old designs that never were used as a matter of investigating I would tell the dude that bought that carb to take the carb bowl off and take a picture of the area where that connector would come in IT MAY be sealed and some idiot that sells the carbs just stuck that on(HAHA). Alleyoop As you can see in this 50cc carb the TWO built in inlets and outlets are sealed they do nothing.

How come last week you said that was a pre-heat for fuel Alley? Huh? HUH?
LOL Guys, Alley knows his stuff. He builds bikes in his sleep. I'd go with him on this one. I'd go with him on most of what he says actually. Every now and then he gets lost, but then he takes his meds and turns friendly again. LOL

Yep it is just a breather so not to much pressure builds up inside the bowl. Just like all living things you take in through your mouth or nose and the relieve comes out the bottom OTHERWISE THINGS CAN GO: Alleyoop
