just when i thought the chinese were getting a handle on things.... my speedometer drive gear exploded today after 136 miles on a new bike. i know, i know, you get what you pay for.

That can happen with any manufactured part, QC doesn't check every single piece coming out of a factory, only samples from batches. Just ask your local motorcycle dealer, they'll tell you that any brand has parts that randomly fail on brand new rides. In the case of the speedo puck, it could be manufacturing flaw, or assembly error.

Hey don't feel like the Lone Ranger ,,, I had quick disconnect fuel line fittings go bad on a very expensive bmw bike I had,,,fuel shooting all over a nice hot mill and my leg and the side of the bike in the middle of a ride,,,nice,,,,it can happen to anything and anyone,,,just look at all the recalls on cars and bikes,,,really anything for that matter,,,
