2002 Daytona Xtreme 125cc Funky engine model # 151QMI, but its definitely a gy6. Looks to be of superb quality too. Lime it was the cream of the crop in its hey day. This thing has Yamaha parts all over it. The lady told she had brought it to a scoot shop and they told her transmission was going out (holy hell!) so it wasn't worth fixing in her opinion. She said it's been sitting for a year. I gave her $60.00 bucks for it. Got it home, pulled cvt cover, found it had a belt for a long case installed. I put a short belt on it. Changed gas and she fired right up!!! It's pretty darn fast for a 125cc too. Anyone know what wire to pull on the cdi for the rev limiter? There is just one problem. When I get these scoots I can't seem to let them go. I get too attached. Gy6 forever!!!!

Normally only the 50cc's MAY come with some restrictions on it like a washer in the Variator or limited throttle or a rev limited CDI but I think they stopped most of that decades ago. Now a days what you may find is a washer in the variator to limit the top end speed and a restricted Exhaust tubing where it attachs to the motor. But anything above 50cc they usually do not come with any restrictions because those require a license because they can do 50+ miles per hour.
The 50s they sell as mopeds and are supposed to be kept to only do around 25-30mph so they do not require a license in most states.
