Soon I should be able to start saving for a scooter and purchase one come spring. I'm figuring I may have to change over to a trike within a year after the purchase and would like to ask if there are any conversion kits available so that I can also look for a scooter that would accept one. I'm hoping that come spring I can find another add like the one on Craig's List for a Kymco People 250, nice price. There are 300i as well but haven't found much for them.

I have several listings for the Trailer-Trike Kits but would prefer a conversion to a real trike and not just "helper wheels". Again this will be in at least a year from now. The scooter has to come first.

Thanks guys. That does look promising but I was hoping for more than one.
May have to just buy one from Jim. But then after riding again I may feel no need - yet.

My thoughts are, go straight to a trike. You already know about the 300cc Zodiac. In my opinion, it can't be beat.

Yes indeed. Thanks to folk like yourself I do know about that model and it is very much in the mix. But, I'm still unsure how much I really want/need a trike. What I do know is that 200+cc is required to be able to drive the country roads at a safe speed. Will have to wait until spring to decide. One thing I am wondering about is towing it if necessary. Could the final drive chain be removed and one of the truck mounted hitches that the front tire rides in be used in place of a trailer? Being a renter a space for a trailer is hard to come by.

Yes Zodiac's can't be beat but if gotten by a dependable dealer Like Rapid Jim, myself have paid the piper couple times over. But I learned a great deal from Jim and my time servicing all 3 of my trikes.

I'm considering Kymco because I have two dealers locally. Appleton, Wisconsin. I'm told the closest recently quit repairing. He deals in used motorcycles and snowmobiles as well. The other is a new motorcycle and atv dealer and sells other brands of scooters as well. For a Sym I would have to go to down town Milwaukee and bring a lot more money. Rapid Jim is definitely well supported and in the running. It will be at least 6 months before I start making a final decision.
