If you find burnt wires, if just the protection is burnt but the wires are good you can just get some electrical tape and tape the bear parts up. If they are touching seperate them and tape each wire up.
If the CDI is bad your motor will not run. If the Regulator/Rectifier is bad it will not charge your battery or OVERCHARGE it and or some lights will not work.

You might want to buy a mulitmeter which will help you locate the short. Everyone should own a multimeter.

You are not looking hard enough IF YOU SAW SMOKE then wires wire burning. So look really close where you saw smoke and you will find a wire or wires that are burnt.

Your looking for a short so any wires that are burnt and touching metal or fused togethert. A burnt wire not touching anything will not blow your fuse.

you can always unplug everything, install a new fuse, then plug things in one system at a time. slower than an electrical meter but you should still find the problem.

Sooooooo , i was correct i never had a short, i also found out the fuses the autostore guy gave me were smaller volt then the originals. The regulator was causeing the fuse to brake. Every other device worked fine

Come on bro WE MAY HAVE BEEN BORN LATE BUT NOT YESTERDAY. We have been doing this for DECADES the fueses on those scoots ARE 10AMP fuses. The Spare one in the fuse holder is also a 10AMP FUSE. As a matter of fact you can see the size in the burnt one in your picture 10AMP. So I would bet you put in a big arse fuse if it is not blowing. BUT you will soon see SMOKE GETS IN YOUR EYES Some People Just do not appreciate the time we take to help you poor souls. DONE DONE DONE Ride Safe Alleyoop
