I also enjoy motorcycling and this subject came up on the VTX board. A member had his triked by a new company. I remember seeing his experimentation about 5 years ago. At that time he was using ATV front suspensions and made adaptors for different wheels. He said they did very well but now is using street rod front suspension components. I'm wondering if some thing less expensive could be made for the scooters. We wouldn't need all the strength needed for larger motorcycles. Perhaps the ATV parts would be right.

Biggest problem with reverse trikes is the bump steering. The expensive ones have this cured. The el-cheepo's have bad problems. If it was easy to cure the steering there would be a lot more of them on the market to choose from. All most every thing bad I have read about chinese reverse trikes relate to steering problems.
Steering is no place to cut corners

One reason I would like to go up there and talk with this guy about how he did with his proto-types with the ATV front ends. Five years ago while reading about it he said they tracked very well but those big bikes needed something stronger for out on the road with the loads they carry.
Just a little dreaming in my old age.
