Any Advice About Sellers Of 250cc Scooters?

it is maddening,,,if it were my call i'd cruise CL for a gently used Sym or Kymco,,,about the same price as a new china scoot with a better build in my opinion,,,even the Kymco 150-160cc bikes do 80+mph,,,Bashan (Rich carman) had a Sym citycom that absolutely flew over 90,,,,Man he loved that thing,,,he was friends with all the cops in his area,,,he told me a few times he got pulled over doing way better than 85 with room to spare,,,,good thing he was friends with them,,,if it was me i'd probably still be in jail

The number of 250cc sellers is shrinking and it looks like even manufacturers are getting out of the size. I was looking at Znen who used to make the L Roar and the fuel injected Linhai clone. They are no longer on their product list. A quick check will show that except for a few people carrying Linhai there are not a lot of online 250s available.

I checked Kymco a couple days ago for a price an noticed they didn't list a 250 any more.

If they would listen to me the chinese would retool and make a totally new air cooled 200cc scooter with a flat floor board like real scooters used to be, screw the damn plastic fancy styling and be able to keep the cost to pretty much what the 150cc gy6 is now. Nothing wrong with air cooled, much simpler engine to service and for those who want to put a big bore on just about any dope could do it. With a bigger crank case/block/cyl. it would not be stressed to run 55-65 mph all day long if you just left it as is and rode it.

I have a 50cc Kymco Like in my possession and to reach the engine all you have to do is take out the four bolts holding the seat bucket and it lifts out exposing the motor. Or there's this:

168cc, a flat floorboard and near the same price as any other mail order GY6. I like this one though. The styling is cuter and the wheels are bigger.

Looks nice but are they not still the same gy6 lower end? With a factory installed big bore kit that we have seen so many go poof?

I like that kymco but don't care for the price. But am sure you could ride it all day long at highway speeds.
