Ooties genuine scooter says March 2016 release at the earliest,,,dot certs,,no Cali carb certs yet,,,,,,if they had a firm release date I'd have a deposit on it already,,,nothing yet,,,,looks to be fun

My first concern would be dealer support. I have been to the local Genuine Scooter dealer several times over 8 years and have never seen a Genuine Scooter. Just a few Kymcos a some used of mixed make.
They always have at least 2 Honda 250 Rebels.

I had my concerns with genuine' support too,,,,the local yokel couldn't even have any Stella parts and when I went to them for the most simplest of things they looked at me like I had 6 heads,,,I do my own service and I get my parts online so the dealer is kind of a moot point anyways,,,,
