My fiance is wanting to get a used 07 50cc 2t. From what I briefly found, it uses a minerelli 2t engine. On the side, it sez super speed engine booster or something, on the sides, the guy claims it had some sort of device on it that allows the thing to do near 80mph.

The problem here isn't the scooter, it's the guy selling it. Baccio sold some quality machines even during the Dark Ages. Patrick McClure, aka Automotoguy had a 150cc version of the Baccio and put 46,000 miles on it BEFORE SELLING IT. He had to replace the rear gears at around 36,000 miles as I recall.
So the answer is Baccio makes a good scooter but the person selling it is a jerk. Or he's trying to palm off 80 kph as 80 mph. A lightly modded 50cc two stroke could hit 50 mph (80 kph).

I look at that deal as the seller would lie to you about the good parts of the scooter what about what isn't said? (maybe its hot)
Same deal with the phone peddlers who ignore the law and the no-call lists.....are they going to be honest with you about their phony products?

It's the Baccio Speedy. I don't think the guy is a jerk, I just think he might not know much about 2t engines. He own the place, but he's not the mechanic, and he admitted he doesn't know much on the mechanical side. He sells these 150 scooters that used to be a model sold by Jonway, Tank, and I think SunL, he could tell me the company(chinese) bought out, or absorbed those two companies, but didn't know that scooter model originally had halogen projector headlights, or really what projector healights were- at least by name. Chinese bikes outnumber the japanese, and italian bikes here in Louisville, yet there is a total of four shops that will touch them. Two of them are hard to catch open, one is a guy that does it as a hobby, so I'm hoping my vibes on this old man is true. My scooter is being repaired there. Station Park Honda, Harley/Vespa, and the now closed Highland Motorsports(who sold taiwanese gy6) won't touch them, and I doubt Yamaha will. So I pray this guy is okay, if not, I'll needing to be learning scooter wrenching real fast. He used to be a motorcycle shop, but went exclusively scooter, for the fact that there is hardly anyone here that works on them. Which is sad, when almost every indie/smalk company tire shop sells them.

(maybe its hot) Same deal with the phone peddlers who ignore the law and the no-call lists.....are they going to be honest with you about their phony products? when I went to the bank, my fiance said he pulled it out, and hooned around on it in the lot, he's selling it to her for about 1600, from what I saw online, they were more than that new. I'm just hoping we can get it, he's letting us lay-away it. Seems to be a Vento clone, from what I saw on a board in the google search. I don't think it'll do 80, he said he had to 65, and it was still pulling, I kniw by the speedo on my bike 45mph=35mph- when it worked. So it doin "65," and still pulling, it was probably doing 40 or so. I know it's probably faster than a 4t 50, at least marginally. I figure it'd be a good beginner scooter.
