And it may have not been the best idea... Currently it only starts via kickstart and the electronics are dead with the key turned on (until its kickstarted). Also the fuel gauge is not working properly. The car was on when the I tried jumping it. My scooter is a 2009 Zuma 50f 2-stroke.
I'm sure I made a real rookie mistake so I'm here confessing my noobishness in effort to learn from my mistakes.

Also, I should add I looked at my battery and do believe it's 12v.

Yes your battery is a 12 volt. It is ok to jump start your scooter with your car not a problem. Did it start?
Let me ask when you turn on the KEY does your horn work? Does your stoplights come on? Or is everything dead NADA works? Alleyoop

It did not start or give any indication of power; no lights, horn, anything.

CHeck the fuse, it is on a thin red wire attached to the positive battery terminal it is probably blown. They are usually 10amp tube fuse they may look good but are bad so I would take it out check the amps on it and get a couple of new ones at your auto parts store and give that a shot.
Also make sure the KILLSWITCH is in the run position and the sidestand is up, SOME have a killswitch on the sidestand as well. Alleyoop

Sounds good, a fuse makes sense; I'll check it tomorrow. Yes the killswitch is in run and the stand is also up.

Sounds like a plan, usually if nothing comes on with the key on it is a blown fuse. Now even with a blown fuse the motor can still run by kick starting it but nothing else will work. Some lights may work if they are being fed by the stator and R/R, but fuel gauge, horn stoplights will not work with a blown fuse because those are directly run off the battery with the key on. Yep, you were right; I pulled the fuse 7A 125V and it was blown, so I ordered a pack of them.

Most definitely never have the car running. Even a little one's alternator output is enough the make your battery blow up. I have seen that done on a large motorcycle and they have bigger batteries. There's nothing wrong with the size of the car's battery. Just the alternators output.
