At least it sure seems like that. I also go to several other forums about riding and they haven't slowed down at all like the chinese only scooter forum. Seems to indicate many of those riding chinese scooters really are not riders at heart but are riding for the gas savings. When the gas prices touch $4.00 we will see them all back trying to unclog their carbs gunked up from sitting idle while the gas was cheap.

The only thing gas mileage on a bike or scooter means to me is an indication of the machines heath.

here in augusta ga gas is 1.55 per gallon and yet i still saw about 4 50cc scooters within a 10 mile radus

it was 65 degrees here in augusta so that normally gets the scooter riders out in force

i work midnights so i drive car to work as all the nuts seem to be on the road after 10pm but anything else other then rain i take the scoot

Bought it for $1.36 yesterday in Dover Arkansas, heard it is $1.12 in Broken bow Oklahoma? when it hits a dollar I'm filling up 3 barrels!

91 ethanol free $2.55 a gal 160 miles round trip to get it. I wish I had a few barrels to store it in. 22 gal should hold me for about ten weeks.

Heck, I can't stop, haven't had my FIRST ride yet! Lol! I just posted an update to my progress post. Just a few days away from that first ride, I hopes'es !

Just under $2.00 per gallon in Vegas. Still see lots of scooter riders on the road. Weather has been into the mid 70's, so that brings out the casual riders, too. Me, I ride all year round, and dress accordingly.

For me if the weather is nice I will always ride. Sat I was out a couple hours with only one stop. I went by Kellys Slab to see a big fat guy fighting a 3 or 4" small mouth bass! In a half hour I will leave to go to breakfast but it is too damn cold today. 42 in town and a little colder at the house. Riding is one of the few things left that I really enjoy, unless it is too hot or too cold out.

I never got my trikes for fuel prices, I got them for fun and enjoyment gas was a bonus riding in smoky mountains can't be anything but pleasure and freedom.

Wish I had a choice. I have to stick with my old V8 powered 4x4 truck for now. 14mpg average.

Yea I sure am. The only bugaboo with it was cured with a sargent seat. The comfort for me with the worsening bad back is so much more than that damn majesty ever was. And with knobies I am not restricted to a road either. It would ride possibly a bit better with street tires but I like the option. People with a good back will never realize how bad a suspension can be on a highly regarded scooter like that one.
