I am at my wits end!! 18 months ago I bought a 2008 YY150T-12. I have done an engine swap and now it will not start. When I got the new engine it came with a new carb, cdi, coil, and solenoid. All have been swapped and then swapped back. I can jump the solenoid and the engine will turn over. The battery is holding 12.5V. The kill switch tests good, the electric start switch tests good. The fuse coming off the battery is good. The brake switches test good. When I have the ignition switch on, brake lever engaged there are no brake lights and when I push the starter switch nothing. Help!! I don't know where to go from here.

Then replace the FUSE they are usually tube fuses and they LOOK GOOD but are broken on the ends where you cannot see. To verify you need to test both sides of the fuse for voltage to make sure voltage is passing through the fuse. If the fuse turns out to be good then the problem lies in the ignition switch and you need to test for 12volts getting to it from the battery then when on the on position it makes contact with a black wire to pass the voltage to the other systems.
Now one more thing does your scoot have an alarm? if so it could be activated and you may get nothing. To inactivate it you need to hit the the button twice. Alleyoop

No alarm. The fuse is good, but how do I test the ignition? Touch the red multimeter wire to red, ignition off, do I do anything with the black multimeter wire? Is it the same with the black wire except ignition on? And should it read 12+ volts?

Test the red wire at the ignition it should have 12volts all the time. Then put the KEY TO ON and check the BLACK WIRE on the iginition it should have 12volts on the ON POSITION.
You put the red wire on the wire your testing and the other black wire to ground just as if your testing the battery . Alleyoop

It was the ignition switch. Put the new switch in last night and voom!! Thanks so much alleyoop. Just need to slap all her panels back on and tighten her up and I'm good to go.
