Greetings, ladies and gentlemen! I'm ba-a-a-ack!!
Background: Since I got my Burgman 400, the little Romans 150 has been 'stored' - but not very well. It's been sitting on my covered patio. (HEQQ!! This is southern California!! It never rains!!)
Situation: I am giving it to my daughter. But, it won't start. It'll kick over and maybe go for about 10 seconds, then it dies. We can keep it going for a while if we spray some carb cleaner into the air filter. But that's as far as it goes. Clean the carburetor? AGAIN?!?!?!?!?
Resolution(?): Ok. I read somewhere that this guy bought a new (bigger/better?) carb and CDI for his troublesome 150. He said he has had NO trouble since. Sounds good to me! I am not concerned about upgrading for racing performance - just to get it to the point it will start without this headache.
What is the current size of the ports (manifold?)? I should get one a bit bigger, right? Any recommendations on a particular CDI?
That's it!!! Y'all have helped TREMENDOUSLY before. Looking forward for some more assistance. Thanks!!
