I knew that I would pass but wasn't sure how well I would do. I had to take the DL test alongside the M1 written. I missed one on each and on the one I missed on the M1 test, knew right away as I clicked "submit" that I had misread the question, lol! " NO, WAIT! Awwww! " but it left the screen, lol! I answered about "Crossing a railroad track" rather than a "Grated surface". Who wants a perfect score anyway?! Neener, neener! So, the planets have aligned ! I've had a heck of a week and a half clearing out some chores n' business , to free up for "Test day" and "First ride day" but, tomorrow (Today after sunrise, technically) will be my first ride out of the driveway, lol ! I've felt like an anxious little kid that isn't allowed to go past the sidewalk line at the end of the drive and watching the big kids ride freely! I'll probably stick close to my neighborhood for a while till I gain confidence in the integrity of the scoot so, still kinda "On restriction" haha). Right now, I'm trying to decide how to rig up my helmet cam. I ended up buying the ION Air Pro 2. It has a bunch of accessory mountings but from what I have heard (After purchasing, wouldn't ya know), the gyro in it is only for vertical or direct opposite (upside down), no sideways gyro , yuck. I was hoping not to have to mount it ATOP my helmet but on the side. I may have to rig a way. So anyway, YAY ME! I get to RIDE now!

How long do these 'endorsements' last? I got mine when it was started in 1968 and have it for life. Any size or design and all I had to do is go to the cop shop and get a sticker. No testing because the cops already told me they disliked my '47 Harley chopper.

Thanks fellas! Ha, cyborg , if I wad this thing, I'd be inclined to fly up there for that butt kicking ! richardv , when I had it many years ago, it lasted as long as my DL, 4 years or longer if you didn't have any accidents or tickets. I havent had to retest for my DL now, in 12 years, maybe longer! Nowadays, I'm not sure how it works. But, evidently, when you apply nowadays for the M1, you have to do both tests. AND they re-took my picture so, that tells me that it may last as long as a DL term if they are going to combine the license onto one photo card. If I were to break down pretty close, I'll walk it. Fortunately, my insurance covers me for roadside up to 10 miles, included with State Farm. But, I also have AAA's R.A. for my truck and looked into if they had R.A. for cycles and they DO so, I bought it for $37 per year. 100 miles tow 4 x's a year, too! I'm sure, I won't be going that far but I'm also sure that I'll want to go further than 10 ! Okay, time to prepare ! GOTTA SCOOOOOOT ! WOOHOO!

What I have done about ten years ago for towing is I took an old boat trailer and made a flat bed out of it. I re positioned the axle to on top of the springs and swapped out the 12 inch rims for some new 8 inch ones. It came out real low to the ground and is the easiest loading of any thing on a trailer I ever had. Guess it would be different if I was planning long distance hauling at high speeds. I am in the process of changing the tongue and coupler raising it up so it better couples with the ranger I just bought. Even with a bad back I could still load a washer by my self with out lifting, just by walking it on corners.

Nice jct842 . I don't have anything to hitch up to but, if I did, this DIY girl would ! My pickup is a Nissan Hardbody with no rear bumper and I kinda like it that way The rides went well today, without a hitch too ! Boy, do I need practice remembering to cancel my blinkers! If I don't get into the groove of it real quickly, I might rig up a little "Dinger bell" for that, or something. It's pretty important. Answering the Q on the test and ACTUALLY remembering are very different things ! I imagine, the more I ride and feel at home on it, the quicker I will remember. Lot's to get into the groove of, at first. If I remember correctly, my Honda motorcycle years ago, self cancelled the blinkers. The only adjustment that I encountered need for is some annoying vibrational noise at the exhaust. I'll pick up a huge worm gear clamp to hold that tighter to its mount.

I have tried it and then took it out and replaced it with a light that flashes. The Gold Wings shut off by themselves. Too soon for me so I added lights on them as well.
