Hello everyone, I have a Vog 260 that I cannot find anyone in the Cleveland Ohio area to diagnose/repair. It will not start and I have replaced numerous batteries over the years. Following a trickle charge, I had to walk the bike home after it stalled at a stop sign. I have learned my lesson regarding foreign made scooters and next time I will definitely buy one that I can easily have serviced. Any help would be appreciated since I am more than ready to ride. I have called numerous mechanics and they will not even touch these scooters. Thank you and Happy/Safe riding!!!

Most people find that they can repair their scooters if they are willing and take the time to read and find out what they are doing. For the most part they are much simpler to work on than a high tech jap scooter and parts are readily available. We have generic manuals here and knowledgeable people who can help. If you are unwilling to work on your chinese scooter you may be best off to put it on craigs list and take a hit while ordering up a new honda or the like.
For what a honda costs you can buy 3 or 4 chinese scooters and unlike the honda they will require you to preform much more maintenance than the jap scooter. Chinese scooters are a real bargain but the owners have to do their part.

If they stall after getting hot that is a CLASSIC case of the valves being to tight are are leaking. Usually it is the EXHAUST valve that tightens up due to the extreme heat while the intake gets fresh gas and cool air so the intake valve usually is good.
So the first thing you want to do is ADJUST the valves set the INTAKE VALVE to .004 inchs and the EXHAUST VALVE to .005 inchs. Alleyoop
