Was on the phone with my brother a couple of hours
The thing is, it is starting right back up, without throttling or anything! At least, if it were STAYING dead for a short while, like it was before, I could check to confirm "No spark" or "Spark" or, whatever. Therein lies the difficulty with diagnosing an intermittent problem.
Okay, I'll give your suggestion a go tomorrow. Before I found the no spark condition, I did tell my neighbor that I suspected an empty carb. And it wouldn't be the very first time that there were more than ONE faulty condition at play. I know that you chill out for the evening, right about at this time. Also, I live at a small apartment complex so, I've got to stop running my motor as I've been doing, at a reasonable hour each eve. So, I've got a start point tomorrow, other than putting a meter to the stator.
I edited to add that: We kinda DID vent the tank when I took all of the EVAP stuff off and left the one hose from the tank open. I hadn't procured a filter to plug to the end of it though. I ended up plugging the evap back in because I'm a paranoid person that doesn't give the law a reason to have a qualm with me, lol!

Okay, I got her to shut down and immediately drained the bowl and got MAYBE a 1/2 OZ of gas from it.That doesn't seem like enough. I may have had TWO things goin' on . I've started it back up and will check for spark when it dies again.
1/2 oz is not enough so we may be on the right track that not enough fuel is filling the carb bowl to cover the jets fast enough, which would mean problem with the fuel pump. Where is the fuel pump mounted in the scoot?
Now what you can do is leave the drain hose open into a cup and crank it and see how much fuel actually is being pumped into the carb bowl. Should be a good amount, I will show you a good flow that HOBBLES with his 150 trike videoed so you can see what a good flow is. Give me a minute and I will get the link. Alleyoop
Float level needs to be set so the bowl will have more fuel in it,,,,I think it's a combo problem,,,the bowl is running out of gas and also the engine to frame ground is suspect
Here is my Fuel pump up front similiar to yours about 1 1/2 feet from the tank then it runs abour 3 feet along side the left rail and UP about 1 foot+ to the carb. Alleyoop
To me it appeared to peter out after a few seconds of good flow, how did it appear to you Oliver?
Well lets assume that the flow was ok, so lets look at the float level like CYBORG suggested. for that you will have to take the carb off unfortunately. Or you can spend 25 bucks on a new carb , the carb is a 24mm. If you want to take it off and adjust the float level I can put up how to do that if you want. Alleyoop
