I was given a 2013 dykon scooter I think is a copy of the Tao Tao 50. Anyways this thing was in pieces and I'm slowly getting it together. Problem is o can't get spark. I have gone on to test voltage from the stator and am getting 30 volts AC. I replaced the cdi box and it didn't work. I also disconnect the safety switch black and white wire from the cdi box. Is this enough voltage from the stator? Is it bad? I'm stuck. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

stator voltage output will increase with rpms, is 30v ac @ idle? check coil connections, coil wire, make sure plug boot is screwed in all the way. is the plug new?

No spark can be caused by any number of things,,,check engine to frame ground,,,coil connections ,,check plug or swap it for a known good one,,cdi connections, key switch power,,,fuses,,,that's a start anyways

Thanks. Yea the plug is new. I just ordered a new stator and flywheel hopefully that will do the trick. 30 volts was just turning over the engine. I have replaced the coil and cdi so if a new stator doesn't work I will be lost.

Since you could not test the stator while running just when cranking it 30VAC is good at that point. It could also be the PICKUP COIL, and hope the stator you got comes with one. Alleyoop
