I now need some help with two issues:
1) Whenever I stop using my brakes my engine dies rather than idling and I need to start it again. How do I get it to idle through a stop?
2) My right brake lever (front) has too much free play won't grab.
Thanks again sharing from those years of scooter wisdom.

Yes, but I don't need to fix these things until I can start it.

Braking and dieing to me it means the rear wheel is spinning when on the center stand which means the IDLE is to high. So braking coming to a stop the motor is trying to turn the wheel and it is to much load and it dies at low rpms. Easy FIX. After it is warm idling for 5 minutes on the center stand LOWER THE IDLE so the rear wheel stops spinning. Alleyoop

I hope it is an easy fix. I'll give it a shot once the starter is working.
How difficult is the screw to get to?
Would you be able to point me to a picture of the carb so I can see where the screw is?
