I'm spending the last $100 or so on this RX-200 on it's tenth riding season. The front caliper must have failed this past winter storage. I found a very similar replacement on e-bay but it is missing the so called ABS part.Is it any problem to eliminate this part ? Thanks and God bless

The ABS is Fake like most crp on these Scoot's It's nothing more than a Check Valve to Dump a Hydraulic Spike. more junk fake stuff. I removed mine, replaced with correct Banjo Bolt and Throw the Fake ABS Check Valve as Far as you can. I won't have it on anything that I have. There are certain conditions were I think its a safety issue. There is No problem running without this, Its the way it was, it is only replaced with the Correct size Banjo Bolt Good Luck

Thanks and God bless The pistons are probably just stuck, happened to mine this winter and you have nothing, happens a lot when in storage for months. Take the Caliper off and spray the inside with carb cleaner and stick a scraper or something thin between the pads and push the pistons back then work the brake and repeat a couple of times and you will have working brakes again. Thanks for all the comments. The new caliper came with a new bold and washers so it should fit ok since I have the cable length. Alleyoop, I think a seal is shot as there is no brake pressure and caliper/pads had fluid over them. I imagine think there is Chinese rubber in there somewhere. My beloved, who's scoot it is, was thinking three wheels next time. I'm not sure I want to deal with another Chinese project for the next 10 years.

Ah well if they were leaking then yes replace. but if no leaks just no pressure they are stuck and its an easy fix. Alleyoop
