It's apart right now. Started cutting out and back firing. Did the valves the other day as they were due and had to change a couple shims. Got to pick up a gas filter and some hose today. It could even have been the spark plug causing prob. Just hope it is not the ignighter-cdi. Won't know till I get some gas in it.

Forced my self to put the tank back on with all the damn hoses and she fired right up. Must have been the plug cutting out but I didn't get it very warm on the test ride. I did open the carb and put a home made washer out of a wire from a capacitor under the needle. It was never one to wheelie easy but it is now a lot easier to throtle up lifting the front wheel with out clutch. Got a couple other carb mods in mind like a air/fuel screw you can adjust easily and need to drill open the vent for diaphram on the slide. As I remember you use an .078 drill bit. Got to put all the damn plastic back is all thats left. Sure wish it had a real gas tank instead of that tiny thing they come with.

Yea we talked about that when you first got it,,,very few downfalls on that machine,,,one is the fuel tank capacity,,,the other is the seat,,,that is one harsh seat,,,and yes you are correct,,a very small hole drilled on the bottom of the slide opposite of the original vent hole on the other side of the needle,,that will quicken up the response a bunch

I was going to mention that's one of the mods recommended by dynojet when/ if you ever used or get one,,, their kit does a real good job actually,, wakes up the carburetion considerably,,, the next step is a mikuni TM series carb,,, or a keihin fcr ,,, never went keihin myself,, the TM mikuni works great and are easier to setup ,,, you'd think you changed the motor for a new one
