OK, you got me. A former high school sweetheart contacted me about six months ago. We're involved and making plans. I'm using the scooter because 1) It gets great mileage and I can do the trip non-stop each way 2) It's fairly comfortable with great wind protection and 3) I use my stuff. If I can't trust something I either fix it or sell it. Roadside Assistance and cell phones don't instill me with confidence.
I could ride the motorcycles but they don't get the mileage and would require a gas stop en route.
