I need to replace the stator on a 2005 157QMJ (150cc).  Was hoping to order the puller and stator at the same time.  Any way to tell how many poles it has without pulling the flywheel (CFW-125YX)?  I tried looking through the hole and counting and best guess is 7, which doesn't help at all!

1) are 6 poles and 8 poles interchangeable with no other changes?
2) is 8 poles better than 6 poles?

8 pole will produce more power than 6 pole. you can pull a 6 pole and put an 8 pole in but probably will need to upgrade the r/r to handle the extra power. i don't know if wiring will be plug and play.
