Hello all! I am am repairing an '08 CF Moto 250 (Helix clone). I have run into an issue with the dash. It does not seem to function properly and I am afraid it is shot. Possibly water damage, but I want to run it by some more experienced minds before I jump to conclusions. The dash only slightly brightens when the key is turned to the 'on' position, but only shows '100' and doesn't register the time, temp or gas. It only completely shuts off when the batter cable is pulled. *no other lights have this issue* Thanks for your time! Picture of said problem below. Key 'on' Key 'off'

About all I could offer is to measure the voltage going in. Since you have to cut the battery I would guess you are going to be looking for a new dash.
Sorting out this type of problem not only is going to take an exact circuit diagram but some one experienced in that dash.
If you are able to isolate the problem you may still be able to ride.

After thinking more about it I think if it was mine I would just get an after market electronic speedo, get a couple generic diagrams out and cobble up a gas gauge off a 150cc and do what ever wiring nesc to continue riding. An other solution would be watching ebay for a replacement. And certainly be aware that putting a ton of money in your scooter is not a good idea. If it ran good before I would do what ever you need to do with out spending much to continue riding.

Thanks for your input!
I might just go with a new lcd to keep the original look, but it is a bit expensive... (as you've stated) it is wise not to put too much into it, as it is not really worth the investment in the long run..especially with the Chinese models. I'll look around for some aftermarket parts to see what I can find.

I would check battery voltage make sure it up to 13.8 and look for bad grounds.
