   I have a 2012 Wolf 49cc scooter. The scooter has been sitting for three months after I was hit and run and had my leg crushed. The scooter starts and idles alright but, when I turn the throttle to accelerate, it dies. I put fresh gas in the tank and changed the oil to be on the safe side of things. The only problem I've found is on the air cleaner. The tube that runs up to the carb is cracked. Could that cause my problem? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks! The scooter ran fine before my leg was broken.

you said you added fresh gas to the tank but did the carb get fresh fuel? carb may need cleaning as untreated gas has a short shelf life.

I'd say that you may also be introducing too much air . I'd be sealing it with silicone and vinyl tape or replacing it if it can't be sealed.

x2 on drain carb and x2 on the air tube.
