Yesterday after I shut the thing off, I noticed the headlight was still on but I had the key in my pocket. Started it up, and it wouldn't shut off. I ran home, disconnected the battery, and shot electrical cleaner into the switch, worked the key back and forth, and it started working fine. Today, same thing. I really blasted it with contact cleaner this time, I'm hoping it's just crud. Anyone else have this problem before?

Yes, and the kickstand will kill the engine, but neither one will kill the lights.

Some new info. I had it parked for a while, and the ignition came on all by itself, it wasn't on when I parked it. I came home and disconnected the battery. It's been about a half hour and I went out and connected the battery and everything is normal, I did nothing else to it. What I don't get is why it turned itself on. I stopped at the shop and he said it's the ignition switch.

Problem solved. Battery in my remote start was low.

Remote starters and alarms are problematic.
