OK, now that I have my Verucci 150 running right it would be nice to have a speedometer that was somewhat accurate. Mine is off by +30 per cent. This is kind of ridiculous. Is there a simple fix? The next question concerns the odometer. If the speedo is off by 30 per cent, is the odometer off by the same amount? The speedo is not direct drive, but the odometer is. I guess I will have to find some measured miles.

I used my GPS several times.
So today I measured out a 5 mile strip with my truck odometer. The scooter odometer says that 5 miles strip was 6.6 miles long. That error is in line with my speedo error. That would indicate to me that the speedo /odometer was set up for a larger diameter wheel. There's no way I can put a larger front wheel on my scooter. So does anyone sell speedo gears for different size wheels?

So maybe your truck is off too. Why not use your gps while on the scooter?
Most, if not all speedo's/odometers on these things are off. I recently installed new tires on my scoot, going from the factory 120/70-12 size, to 110/90-12's. These tires are are 30mm, or in American, 1.18" taller than the factory size. My odometer is almost dead on now. A recent check against my GPS app showed this: Odometer - 103.0 miles / GPS - 102.75. But, my speedo reads 5 mph faster than actual speed, most of the time.
My Ural is just the opposite.....if odometer reads 100.0 Km, actual distance covered is 107.5 Km.......and yet the speedo is right on the money.
Go figure. The only way around it is to get a programmable unit, that way you can adjust it for any tire circumference.

I guess that I will have to use the GPS. The speedo is much more visible. What bugs me most is that the 70 some odd mpg I thought I was getting has now dropped to 50 something or about the same as my wife's Prius😡 So much for the gas saving argument. Randy
