Plus 1 on the carb. It is going to require disassembly and cleaning . Then a little Seafoam would be appropriate.

I have one and it works for my wife and me. I don't get back pain often , but when I do 5-10 minutes on the inversion table does the trick . It doesn't work for everyone , but it's worth a try . You can usually pick one up from Craigslist for under a hundred bucks .

PITA?

Well, I did it and am happy with the results. In fact this is the best modification I have made to my scooter. Hell, my butt thinks it's riding a Harley 😊 It was really easy to do. I think it turned out pretty good. It only took about 15 minutes. A power stapler is definitely needed. I purchased a 14" x 14" x 1/2" sheet of medical grade gel for about $40. Sorry I don't have better pictures, but I wasn't planning to post this. I removed the seat and placed it on my work bench. I removed all the staples from front portion of the seat. Then I lifted up the vinyl and folded it to the back of the seat exposing the foam rubber. I didn't want to just lay the gel on the foam rubber because I was afraid that it would not stay in place. So I skived away about 1/2 " of the foam @7" wide. See picture of the removed foam. I folded the gel in half making it now 1" thick and placed it in the depression of the removed foam. Then with a pair of large scissors I trimed the gel to conform with the existing contours of the seat. I then unfolded the vinyl back to its original position. I then stretched the vinyl forward, held it in place and flipped the seat over. Continuing to stretch vinyl forward and with 2 staples anchored the vinyl in place. I then stapled one side in place. I then started stapling the other, making sure to pull the vinyl extra tight. The result looked good, so I bolted the seat to the scooter. You can judge for yourself.

I am sure that I am not the only one who suffers from this. Stop lights that only change when a sensor is activated. I don't know if those sensors cut into the concrete are activated by weight or by magnetic field. Whatever it is, my scooter hasn't got enough of it. There are a couple of lights in my town that will not let me pass until a car or truck is in the lane with me. I have spent as much as 10 minutes waiting for the light to change. I don't like running the light, but often it's the only way to get across. The crossroad is usually busy. Anybody found a solution to this problem?

How long has the gas been in the tank? If longer than 30 days it has gone bad and you need to clean the fuel system including the carb. If not you will need try something else. Randy

Thanks, that is exactly what I was looking for. The problem is that yesterday I ordered the medical gel sheet material to do it myself. In the end that probably would have been cheaper 😡 Randy

I guess that I will have to use the GPS. The speedo is much more visible. What bugs me most is that the 70 some odd mpg I thought I was getting has now dropped to 50 something or about the same as my wife's Prius😡 So much for the gas saving argument. Randy

I used my GPS several times.
So today I measured out a 5 mile strip with my truck odometer. The scooter odometer says that 5 miles strip was 6.6 miles long. That error is in line with my speedo error. That would indicate to me that the speedo /odometer was set up for a larger diameter wheel. There's no way I can put a larger front wheel on my scooter. So does anyone sell speedo gears for different size wheels?

OK, now that I have my Verucci 150 running right it would be nice to have a speedometer that was somewhat accurate. Mine is off by +30 per cent. This is kind of ridiculous. Is there a simple fix? The next question concerns the odometer. If the speedo is off by 30 per cent, is the odometer off by the same amount? The speedo is not direct drive, but the odometer is. I guess I will have to find some measured miles.

You nailed it. It was a bad vacuum hose connection. It now runs at high speed with no hesitation. Thanks Randy

Thanks Guys, That makes sense. I will give them both a look and replace the vacuum lines +T connector to boot. Looking forward to the day when I spend more time riding than fixing 😡 Randy
