Riding at full speed or close to it for 5 minutes or more will cause my scooter to stall out.  If I shut down the throttle, I will usually get a backfire, after a second or two I can usually resume speed for a short time.  Otherwise the scooter runs well and as long as I don't do prolonged high speed running.  I am assuming that it is a fuel starvation problem,but I haven't figured out a solution. 

The back story is I bought this 2006 Verucci 150.  It was not running when I bought it.  Years ago I worked as a motorcycle mechanic, so I am not clueless. Long story short,  I cleaned up the carburetor /fuel system, put in a new vacuum petcock and fuel lines, new spark plug, set the valves, New variator,  new Kevlar belt and finally a performance CDI and performance coil.  I also drilled a small hole in the gas cap. 

Any thoughts on what I can do to eliminate the stalling Problem?

more than likely you are running out of fuel. fuel pump likely the cause, at full throttle you have the least vacuum. a vacuum leak, just a slight one can be the root cause.

I would check rubber intake for cracks

Thanks Guys, That makes sense. I will give them both a look and replace the vacuum lines +T connector to boot. 
Looking forward to the day when I spend more time riding than fixing 😡

You nailed it.  It was a bad vacuum hose connection. It now runs at high speed with no hesitation.
