I am sure that I am not the only one who suffers from this. Stop lights that only change when a sensor is activated. I don't know if those sensors cut into the concrete are activated by weight or by magnetic field. Whatever it is, my scooter hasn't got enough of it. There are a couple of lights in my town that will not let me pass until a car or truck is in the lane with me. I have spent as much as 10 minutes waiting for the light to change. I don't like running the light, but often it's the only way to get across. The crossroad is usually busy. Anybody found a solution to this problem?

It's the gauze field in ferros metals that do it,,, they make a electrical pulse ,,,most bikes I've owned it's been a major headache,, funny my Stella trips them right away because it has steel wheels,,, how I cured it on my other bikes is I drilled a small hole in the heel on one of my riding boots and epoxied a small magnet in there,,, now the lights change with authority ,,,

Have the same problem! Fortunately the ones that give me issues have a crosswalk button, so I throw down the kickstand and walk over and press the button.
Although I have no problems bombing through a light after I see that it isn't going to change.

I know my Zodiac trikes don't seem to have a problem Thinking it must be a weight factor at less in east TN.

When I was riding my old suz bandit I was bothered by one particular light that had the coils in ground to trip the light. I stuck a couple hard drive magnets on the lowest part of the bike, the center stand. Problem fixed for me. But....a few years later nature fixed it, some thing cut the wire in the middle of the lane. The small town could not afford to repair it and light was then triggered by a timer!

Yea it works really well,,, most people think it's weight,,, it's not,,, it's a wire sunk into the pavement at intersections,, when you pass any ferrous metals over wire it makes a low voltage pulse that is recognized by the controller and the switch is made,,, the little magnet makes a larger pulse voltage so they change very quickly,, I used a snap on wand pickup magnet ,,, I couldn't fold it up and get it back in my pocket fast enough before the change so I then did the heel magnet

I remember watching a youtube video years ago where the guy glued a decent size magnet on the bottom of his scooter. I like the idea of doing that, maybe more than one to be safe.

I have never tried a magnet but about 20 years ago Wisconsin passed a law allowing motorcycles to go through the red after a couple light changes.

Yea I go thru them too I don't always have the trick boots on,,I give it 2 or three changes then I pass thru when it's safe,,,left arrow turn lanes are notorious for not "seeing" bikes here in SoCal ,,,I had a chp motor cop pull up next to me at a second lite and told me three changes and no signal and it's kosher to go thru when safe,,,he was watching me at the last lite (I didn't see him),,,luckily I had waited three changes so I was good,,,he was a nice guy actually,,,we chatted for a few minutes and we were off,,,

I think most states allow you to run it if you wait. Problems when there are cars behind you that are in a hurry.
